Can I add this hybrid to a house that already has on-grid solar, or to a diesel generator?
Yes. INV-EU-1P supports AC-couple retrofit of an existing PV inverter and DG synchronization, so it can sit on a site that already has a grid-tie inverter or a genset. It also runs on-grid and off-grid, with six configurable charge/discharge time periods on the colour touch LCD.
What battery voltage and charge current should I plan for?
Five models: INV EU 3kW-24V-1P (20–30V battery, 140A charge/discharge) and 3.6 / 5 / 6 / 8kW-48V-1P (40–60V, up to 190A on the 8kW). Chemistry can be lead-acid or lithium-ion with self-adapting BMS. The 48V models pair with the 51.2V ESS wall/stack mount; 24V TB modules can be series-wired for a 48V bus. Max PV on the 8kW is 12,800W, with 500V max PV voltage and two MPPTs.
How far can I scale a single-phase LV hybrid system?
Up to 16 units in parallel for on-grid and off-grid. The inverter is IP65, non-isolated, with 97.60% max / 97.00% Euro efficiency and >99% MPPT. Comms are RS485/RS232/CAN plus optional GPRS/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/4G/LAN. Rated AC is 220/230V (0.85–1.1 Un).
